The last full day of our Disney vacation turned out to be the best! We all slept in a little later so that everyone would be rested up for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party that night. It was so nice to have an easy morning with no set schedule.
We decided that since the Christmas party didn’t start until 6:00 that night that we would spend the day exploring Disney Springs. The last time that we were at Disney this area was Downtown Disney so we were excited to see the changes.
Mom and Dad had given each of the kids a Disney gift card for them to spend on the trip. Branson had been saving his gift card to spend at the Lego store and so we made that one of our first stops. He picked out a Star Wars Lego set.
Our next stop was the World of Disney store. This is one of my favorite stores to shop in because it’s huge and it has so many things to choose from.
Before we left Disney Springs we ate dinner at Woofgang Puck Express and then made our way back to the bus to get ready for the Christmas party.
We took the boat to the Magic Kingdom and after we entered through the gates with our Magic Bands cast members gave us special wristbands for the party. We were instructed to enter the party through a special area where we all got our first treat of the night, a Santa shaped sugar cookie. We also stopped to take a few photos.
We had Fastpasses to use not long after we arrived. Mom and Brooklyn rode Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin and the rest of us rode Space Mountain.
After our Fastpasses were used it was time to check in for our reservation at the Crystal Palace. Eeyore was waiting to greet us when we entered.
And Winnie the Pooh arrived to our table not long after we were seated!
We had just enough time to make a trip to the buffet and get back to the table before Tigger arrived.
And Piglet followed shortly after.
The kids were ready to try out the dessert bar after Piglet left and we got all sorts of yummy sweets to try. They loved the ice cream station.
Branson gave the desserts a big thumbs up!
When dinner was over we went out to Main Street USA to secure a good sidewalk spot to watch the parade.
We settled on a spot right outside of Casey’s Corner where we had a view of Cinderella’s Castle and a view down Main Street.
We had over an hour before the parade started so we took the time to take photos and taking turns going to the Main Street Bakery to use up our remaining snack credits.
Brooklyn used one of her snack credits on a big bag of cotton candy that she enjoyed while we waited for the parade to begin.
Right before the parade started it began to snow! I chose to record it instead of taking photos so you can see it in the video at the end of the post.
Once the parade was over it was time to visit all of the treat spots throughout the park. The kids LOVED this party perk! Basically, you walk around the park and find giant blow up candy canes that indicate a treat spot. At each of these spots, you are given a special drink and treat! We made our way through every single treat spot and enjoyed cookies, snow cones, hot chocolate, eggnog, Dove chocolate candy, sparkling apple cider, snowman pretzels, and chocolate milk. I had packed ziplock bags in my backpack to save some of our treats to enjoy later since we were pretty full after the second stop!
Our last treat spot was at Toratuga Tavern near the Pirates of the Caribbean ride and the boys had really wanted to ride it all week but the line had been too long. The line was only a 15-minute wait so Christian, Brody, Branson, and I rode while Mom, Dad, and Brooklyn, who was asleep, made their way back to the park entrance to wait for us.
Brody was convinced that the pirates were shooting real canons at us on the ride!
When the ride was over we made our way back to the park entrance and met back up with Mom, Dad, and Brooklyn to take the boat back to the campground. Our Disney World Christmas vacation was coming to an end but we had one more special thing to do the next morning before we departed. Stay tuned to find out what we did the morning before we left!
